My Approach

I tutor in person, using the Orton Gillingham System.

The Orton-Gillingham approach is a structured, multi-sensory, and systematic method of teaching literacy, particularly beneficial for students struggling with reading, writing, and spelling, including those with dyslexia.

It breaks down reading and spelling into smaller skills, using multiple senses to help students learn

"We are so thankful for Ms. Titus! By the end of first grade, it was apparent that my daughter was struggling academically. We began working with Ms. Titus that summer and have never looked back. Over the last 5 years my daughter has developed a love for learning that permeates so much further than just the classroom."

"Ms. Titus has changed my son's attitude toward reading in one short week.  He has worked with virtual tutors in the past, and he hated that experience.  After one week with Ms. Titus, we noticed a huge improvement with our son. I was even grocery shopping with him, and he was reading the cans to me.  We are so glad we found her!  She is a very gifted teacher."

"As a dyslexic person myself, I know the importance of finding a person who understands how you learn. Ms. Titus is that person for my daughter. I am incredibly thankful for her consistency, her knowledge, and her skills in helping my daughter become  the best version of herself and giving her the ability to learn well into her future."
